GLMUA Presents: The Personal, Private and Living Revelation of Jesus to the Individual

Greater Lake Michigan Urantia Association (GLMUA) will be holding its Third Annual Fall Study Session in Chesterton, Indiana at the Hilton Garden Inn, the weekend of September 25th 27th, 2009. The program includes an informal social gathering on Friday Night with morning meditations preceding a full day session on Saturday and a half day on Sunday.

The Urantia Association of the United States will convene The Council of Local Presidents and Vice Presidents Annual Meeting just prior to the Fall Study Session, the afternoon of September 25th, 2009 at the Hilton Garden Inn. Those in attendance are welcome to observe the UAUS CLP meeting.

The Conference Committee and Governing Board of GLMUA extend a special invitation to all UAUS CLP members to join in our Fall Study Session with this year’s theme: “The Personal, Private and Living Revelation of Jesus to the Individual.” We will draw our living conference source material from Jesus’ teachings directed at the individual. We will include related source material from all parts of the revelation and conclude the Fall Study Session with an examination of specific excerpts from: “The Faith of Jesus.” Facilitators and Participants will offer their personal experiences for the benefit and inspiration of all in attendance.

This is the third in a series of Fall Study Sessions which began with: “TheRevelation Within Us” and continued with “The Revelation Within Society” and will conclude in “The Personal, Private and Living Revelation of Jesus to the Individual.” We hope to continue this three year cycle with enhanced study techniques as we move into the future. Please save the date and plan to join us for this living conference experience where each participant shares in the establishment and development of the theme. We will use a collection of quotes to direct the focus of questions and concepts put forth by the conference facilitators.

Discussions of how Jesus met the difficulties thrust upon his family occasioned by the untimely death of his father, the way in which he planned and implemented his eventual departure from his family’s day to day living, as well as his self discipline in study and investigations into how men live will find expression. An underlying theme; exploring his dedication and implementation of slow and careful planning prior to the public work will be examined complete with ramifications of concern to the Fifth Epochal Revelation today.

The Fall Study Session begins on Friday evening with registration from 4-9 p.m. There will be informal social time on Friday Night, refreshments provided, with dinner arrangements to be announced. (Friday dinner is not included in registration fee.) The Study Session begins on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. with registration just prior for those arriving on Saturday. The program concludes on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. (All times noted are Central Daylight Time).

The Registration Fee is $129 per person and includes lunch, snacks, and dinner on Saturday as well as breakfast on Sunday. If planning to attend, please make reservations as early as possible. There are other hotels in the area but we encourage everyone to make plans at the venue.

The Hilton Garden Inn is located at 501 Gateway North, Chesterton, Indiana 46304. This is the intersection of Indiana State Road 49 and I-80 (Indiana Toll Road). Exit the Toll Road from either direction and drive one block straight ahead. If arriving from the North or South on SR49, the Hotel is on the South Side of Chesterton and just North of the Toll Road / I-80.
